This item was purchased as a gift for my son. He is a college student and was delighted to receive it.
When it feels like playing, it plays. But it will often skip whole songs, fail to start the CD with "No Disc" errors and best of all, it eats batteries. Two copper top cells will last 2, maybe 3 CDs before it dies.
The product description was deceiving b/c it states that it is a MP3/CD player w/120 second Anti-Skip Protection. Also the player uses battery power even when it isn't turned on. The 120 Anti-skip protection is only for the MP3 player. If you play CDs the Anti-Skip is much lower, I think 40 seconds but I'm not sure. So you have to remove the batteries after each use or buy a lot of batteries. I wouldn't have bought this CD player if I would have known this before making the purchase.
i need a cd player to use in my car. I want one that rearelyof if ever skips
this is a rip off.i got it and tryed to play it an it will not play its said on disc and then it shuts off.i have try all cds and mp3 it will not read any.so im sending it back.they will repackage it and someone will get.they need to just recall them or stop makeing it.so dont lose your money over this coby mp-cd521 personal mp3/cd player 120 anti-skip player.
